We all know how devastating a hurricane can be. We want to "pay-it-forward" by helping those affected by Hurricane Sandy. Jackie Wintruba is heading-up this project and asks that each of us bring a kitchen towel and gift card to our Christmas meeting. We know how much this can mean to someone who has been left with nothing. Please support this worthy cause as we reach out to our sisters in need.
UPDATE: We collected and sent 29 kitchen towels and gift cards to teachers in New Jersey who were suffering from the effects of Hurricane Sandy.
REFLECTION KITS
As
a way to support early-career educators, Reflection Kits will be given
to each new teacher in our chapter school districts. We will be making
32 Reflection Kits. A list of items needed for the kits was emailed to
every member. Email Vickie and let her know what item you will bring.
Please bring your item to the September meeting.
UPDATE: We made the Reflection Kits and members carried them back to their school for delivery. We included member contact information and a pamphlet about Delta Kappa Gamma Society International in each kit.
